Aspheric Surface Sag

Description

The Aspheric Sag Page computes the sag of an even aspheric surface given the radius or curvature, the conic constant, the aspheric polynomial coefficients and the radial coordinate of a point on the surface.

Aspheric Surface Sag Equation

Where r is the radial coordinate of the point where the surface sag is calculated.

The results on this page are automatically computed as soon as you select "Done" on the pop-up keyboard.

A Note On Units

All units should be in metric. Curvature is in units of inverse mm and the A2 to A12 coefficients are in inverse mm of the appropriate power.
